Premier's career hits a snag

7 March 2011

Updating the proverb, Flo Bjelke-Petersen knew the way to voters' hearts was through their stomachs. Kristina Keneally was taking a chapter from the former Queensland senator's pumpkin scone cookbook yesterday while visiting hundreds of life-savers-to-be at Maroubra Nippers. "I think if the last fight didn't wake me up then nothing will, so I have to be ready and prepare a lot better mentally. I'm not getting any younger, and this is probably the fight that I need to make sure that I win.".. read full story
